Provider Enrollment Portal
Healthcare providers that wish to help vaccinate North Carolinians against COVID-19 will first need to submit their applications to the Department of Health and Human Services through the Provider Enrollment Portal. There are two sections in the application: Section A is to share information at your organization level, and Section B is to share information about each of the locations where you wish to receive or store vaccines.
When completing this application, you will be offered a choice between two reporting systems to log COVID-19 vaccine inventory and recipient vaccination details, either in the COVID-19 Vaccine Management System (CVMS) or in the North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR).
- CVMS was designed specifically for vaccination against COVID-19. CVMS has an intuitive graphical user interface. The system allows for rapid expansion, allowing both recipients and new users to be added within a matter of seconds. In addition, the system is updated on a routine basis with new releases occurring about three times per month. CVMS also includes unique features such as appointment self-scheduling by the general public, access to reports, and the ability to print or download a recipient's Vaccination Information PDF.
- NCIR is the system that has been used by North Carolina for 10 years, covering all types of vaccinations, not only COVID-19 vaccinations. It is possible that many providers will already be familiar with how to use NCIR and will feel very comfortable using it for logging COVID-19 vaccinations, especially for pediatricians who will need to log an entire series of childhood vaccinations.

Visit the NC Vaccines Help Desk Portal.
If this is the first time you are using the NC Vaccines Help Desk Portal, select the Login button on the top right of the screen. Select 'Register' to create a Help Desk account (this is not the same as using your NCID).
Once logged in:
- Select 'Vaccine Provider'
- Select 'Get Help'
- Fill out your help ticket via the intake form
Your case will be routed to the appropriate team and you will receive an email notification with notes once the case has been resolved.
