List of Partners Frequently Asked Questions What is the purpose of the Bringing Summer Back campaign? Together we’ve made great progress in vaccinating millions of people in North Carolina against COVID-19, but there’s still much more to do. By engaging organizations across the state in a fun, customizable get-out-the-vaccine campaign, we hope to raise awareness of the benefits of vaccination and to make sure that everyone who wants a vaccine can get one. How can my organization get involved? There are plenty of ways for organizations of any size to participate. We recommend registering your organization and downloading our Bringing Summer Back toolkit, which includes a how-to guide to help you get started. You’ll also receive a printed starter kit that includes flyers, door hangs and stickers. Registration for printed materials has closed. Why is the goal to get people vaccinated before summer? Memorial Day, the 4th of July, family gatherings, vacations—these are times many people look forward to hosting backyard gatherings, watching firework shows and spending time with people they love. By vaccinating as many people as possible, we can make it safer for these small gatherings to take place and to enjoy the activities people love. When will the campaign take place? Bringing Back Summer will run during two weeks in May (May 9-15 and May 16-21) and two weeks in June (June 6-12 and June 20-26). Our goal is to vaccinate the majority of North Carolina residents ages 12 and older so we can bring back summer. Can my organization participate in more than one of the campaign’s designated weeks? Yes! Organizations can register to participate in one, two, three or all of the campaign’s week-long drives. The more participation, the better! Can we continue our campaign outside of the designated weeks? Absolutely! Our goal is to get as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible. The designated campaign weeks are designed to build excitement and provide a fresh opportunity for organizations to engage their members, volunteers and others around COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Your continued efforts are helpful and greatly appreciated. Can individuals participate in the campaign? Yes!
