Please note: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) extended the shelf-life of some at-home tests. Check here to see when your test expires.

Get 10 rapid home tests from local organizations (FREE)
You may be able to pick up 10 free home tests, per visit, at a local organization. NCDHHS is partnering with community organizations for test distribution. Search our map to find a nearby Community Access Point.
Buy from local pharmacy (May be free with insurance)
Check with your local pharmacy for home tests. You may be able to buy rapid tests using insurance (including Medicaid) or get reimbursed.

COVIDtests.gov federal program (FREE)
Every U.S. household is eligible to order free at-home tests (four rapid tests per order, mailed via USPS).
If you are blind or have low vision, order accessible tests.
Project Access COVID Tests (FREE)
Until June 15: North Carolinians can order 10 free rapid home tests each month through Project Access COVID Tests (ACT), while supplies last. Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.
Order from a retail pharmacy (May be free with insurance)
You may be able to buy tests online from a retail pharmacy using insurance (including Medicaid) or get reimbursed.
